Juris Diction is the student-run online newspaper of Queen’s Law. We launched in October 2014 as a platform to foster dialogue between current and prospective students, staff, faculty, alumni, and members of the wider legal community. We also host events through the year in order to facilitate creative discussion outside of the classroom.
We aim to uphold the following values through our articles, social media presence, and events:
- Free Speech
- Community Engagement
- Intellectual Diversity
- Public education
- Investigative Journalism
Juris Diction is independent of the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. We receive funding from the Law Students’ Society, but are editorially independent of them. All content on www.juris-diction.ca is the property of Juris Diction and cannot be sold or otherwise reproduced without the consent of the Editor-in-Chief. The opinions found in our articles belong to the authors alone and do not represent the views of the newspaper as a whole. Editorials represent the views of a majority of our Editorial Board.
